In order to present the top-level event of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing 25 to the global track and field fans, Nanjing has built a new competition venue - "Nanjing Rubik's Cube" in Jiangbei New District. The square-shaped building looks like two huge "Rubik's Cubes", with a platform between them, which realises the interconnection of the indoor track and field stadium and the warm-up stadium.

From the outside, the façade of the building is made of aluminium alloy sheet as the outer skin of the curtain wall, and the backing wall is blue paint. Using parametric design, the aluminium alloy panels with different hole sizes are divided into seven modules, which are combined to form a dynamic rhythmic pattern, making the building skin not only simple and atmospheric, but also rich in movement, which is in line with the sports theme of the track and field competition.
